The weather has been at its frustrating best. Rain on Wednesday and benign conditions today.

Mixed weather in the first half of the week saw Sunday and Tuesday as the pick of the days on which to take advantage of the Wave conditions.

A dry and settled day with light variable winds. In the hazy sunshine it will feel warm with a max temp of c22°C.

The forecast we had all looked at turned out to be the wrong one and high winds eventually stopped play.

Hard work today but we managed to fit in 27 launches and, in the circumstances, it was a good all round effort.

A blisteringly hot day saw club members supporting the annual RAF Shawbury Families Day

Storm Antoni forced a change of flying day and many thanks to RAF Shawbury staff for getting the runway swept early at such short notice.

After a number of recent flying days lost to the weather, normal service was resumed today albeit in testing conditions.
