Rain and low cloud brought an end to any thought of flying at 1230 as the water flowed into the hangar.

A super day to make the most of with over 18 hours of flying time at an average of 46 mins per flight.

A cracking start to the Bank Holiday with nearly 7 hours of flying.  Roll on Monday.

An overcast and blustery day saw club members supporting the annual RAF Shawbury Families Day, a great event and one to which we always look forward.

A busy day and it is fantastic to see the progress that all our MEF gliding scholarship students are making.

The threat of rain was always in the air but despite leaden skies, thankfully it held off until 1425 when flying was scrubbed. However, we did achieve 21 launches and over 6hrs 30mins of flying time, a great effort on the day.

Rain until mid-afternoon and then a cross wind out of limits for the tug put paid to the day.

We are delighted to say that Colin is confirmed as our newest Full Cat. Super work and delighted that all your preparatory work paid off today.

Listening to the forecast, those who turned up today probably enjoyed the best conditions of the Bank Holiday weekend with 20 launches and over 12 hours of flying time.

It was only a few who had managed to wrangle a day pass on Bank Holiday Monday.
