The threat of rain was always in the air but despite leaden skies, thankfully it held off until 1425 when flying was scrubbed. However, we did achieve 21 launches and over 6hrs 30mins of flying time, a great effort on the day.

Despite a rainy start, the skies cleared enough to allow for a productive and eventful day at RAF Shawbury Gliding Club. We welcomed new club member Stanislaw Braminski, supported by the RAF Central Trust's MEF, and visitor Alan Marshall from the Midlands Gliding Club.
