Laura Completes her Assistant Instructor Course
Flying with RSGC’s CFI Ian Gallacher on the last launch of the day on Sunday at RAF Shawbury, it’s congratulations to Laura on completion of the BGA Assistant Instructor course programme, a great credit to her hard work and endeavour.
Laura started gliding only some 4 years ago and gained her BI rating in May 2024.
Laura is already an accomplished aerobatics pilot having gained her sports and intermediate badges and, last year won the BAeA Club Class plaque for the Club Class, which serves as a starter for those getting into aerobatic competition for the first time. Laura’s ambition is to become an aerobatics instructor.
And just to keep busy Laura, as our Club Women’s Ambassador, organised a fantastic Women and Inclusivity in Gliding (WinG) Day in April.
The club welcomes Laura to the instructor cadre and if you do catch her flying solo, it will probably be in her 'Tin Shed', an all metal, fully aerobatic Pilatus B4 glider from the 70's.
Top Job Laura😍
